Iets lijkt niet te kloppen. Ana Popovic lijkt eerder thuis te horen in de dure winkels van &#8220;<em>Friendship Heights<\/em>&#8220;, een meer sjieke buurt aan de rand van Washington DC. Ik zie ze eerder op haar hoge hakjes in een winkel van Louis Vuitton of Jimmy Choo dan op het podium van de &#8220;<em>Bethesda Blues &amp; Jazz Supper Club.<\/em>&#8221; Maar dan begint ze op haar Fender Telecaster te spelen en langzaam daagt het me waarom ze de bijnaam &#8220;the&nbsp;<em>Serbian scorcher<\/em>&#8221; draagt: haar gitaarspel is verschroeiend.
